Worth a visit
Saddle Hill is one of the most accessible Donalds that we can find in the route though the Ochil Hills known locally as Dollar Loop. It was supposedly a place of worship during the time of the Celtic Druids, as its high position meant that it was closer to the gods. Today it is one of most visited peaks in the area, and is popular with hiking and mountaineering novices, as it is easily accessible and maps and information are readily available. The biggest problem is the cloud coverage, as low clouds often hang over the peak, reducing visibility to a few feet. But this helps it seem like a magical place.
