Our journey through the Lofoten Islands left us with a uniquely beautiful image of Rørvik, close to where we saw a small beach with white sand and crystal clear turquoise waters, surrounded by wildflowers and a small mountain range that emerged from the neighboring islands. That vision seemed to transport us for a moment to warmer latitudes. Though we were in the Arctic, it was not surprising to see the brave Norwegian-Guys and Dolls-swimming in the clear waters of Rørvik and - between June and July-lying peacefully on the transparent sand enjoying 24 continuous hours of sun .... A luxury .....
