5 reviews of Ruins of Trinidad

Declared a World Heritage Site in 1993

Found along the route of Jesuit missions in northern Argentina and Paraguay, declared a World Heritage Site in 1993, the ruins of Trinidad are the ones that are in better condition, being the largest. Built in 1706 it was a completely self-sufficient city; with a central square, large church, school, workshops and factories, a museum and several houses for Indians. Located in the vicinity of the border of Paraguay, thirty-eight kms from Incarnation, en route to Ciudad del Este, ir is a good option if you have time, after seeing Iguazu Falls. A better choice than the ruins in Argentina, both in

Price and beauty.
