Hospederia Monasterio de Rueda

A la orilla del Ebro, en un vergel rodeado de un paisaje desértico, se encuentra el monasterio cisterciense de Rueda de Ebro, que recibe su nombre de la rueda (la noria) que sube el agua desde el río y la distribuye, por medio de un acueducto gótico y de una red de tuberías, por todo el monasterio. Restaurado hace no muchos años, Rueda es como una maqueta de un monasterio cisterciense tipo. No muy grande pero de una enorme calidad, visitarlo es un verdadero lujo.

On the banks of the Ebro, in a garden surrounded by a desert landscape, is the Cistercian monastery of Rueda de Ebro, which gets its name from the wheel (the wheel) that raises the water from the river and distributes, through Gothic aqueduct and a network of pipes throughout the monastery. Restored a few years ago, Wheel is like a model of a Cistercian monastery type. Not very big but in a great quality, a real treat to visit.
