Rue Madier de Montijau
The majestic street of Montijau Madier splits the historic center of Valence in two, from the height of Saint Ruf park and reaching the bus station "Pole Bus". It is the most commercial street in the city and also houses the plaza behind the city hall, where there are a couple of restaurants. But most of all, it is perfect for a spot of shopping. Beware, Valence is a small town and these shops usually close at 6 pm, maybe a little later in summer. The street is pedestrianized. In terms of shops, there is a bit of everything - several banks, hairdressers, shoe stores, a bookshop, a newsagent, bakery - a mix of local stores with national brand stores.
