Numerous tapas bars
Rua Mayor is the main street of the old district of Salamanca. Exit the Plaza Mayor to get to the Cathedral, or rather the two cathedrals. Totally accessible by foot, this street is a favourite of the people of Salamanca for taking walk in the late evening, stopping at its tapas bars.
In summer, the restaurants of the Rúa Mayor place tables and chairs outside, as if it were their own private terrace, which you can then take advantage of for outdoor dining, it’s nice. I like this street because it retains its old look; the facades of the buildings have been preserved very well and remain as they were centuries ago.
