Royal Palace of Sultan of Oman

La piccola Muscat è il centro amministrativo della capitale, cinta da mura e famosa per ospitare il Palazzo del Sultano, dimora ormai da decenni dell’amato sultano Qaboos, responsabile della rinascita e del benessere del Paese. Seppur non visitabile al suo interno, una passeggiata lungo il suo periplo e l’elegante piazza è decisamente piacevole. La prima cosa che sorprende è la tranquillità del luogo: Si può tranquillamente parcheggiare l’auto di fronte alla facciata e da qui si percorre una lunga ed elegante piazza pedonale circondata da candidi edifici, fino a raggiungere l’edificio principale, il bizzarro palazzo a forma di fungo blu e oro. Qui una trionfale cancellata, circondata da giardini curatissimi, pone fine alla nostra passeggiata: Le guardie armate ci salutano cordialmente e ci chiedono: How are you?

The small Muscat is the administrative center of the capital, surrounded by walls and famous for hosting the Sultan's Palace, home of the beloved Sultan Qaboos for decades, responsible for the rebirth and well-being of the country. Although not visited inside, a walk along its circumnavigation and the elegant square is very pleasant. The first thing that surprises is the tranquility of the place: You can safely park your car in front of the facade and from there take a long and elegant pedestrian square surrounded by snow-white buildings, until you reach the main building, the bizarre palace mushroom-shaped blue and gold. Here a triumphal gate, surrounded by manicured gardens, put an end to our walk: The armed guards cordially greet us and ask us: How are you?

El Sultanato de Omán hasta hace unos pocos años estaba sumido en la Edad Media y gracias a este sultán que por cierto no tiene herederos ha llegado a la modernidad y claro esta con el petróleo por bandera. Es un palacio moderno que el sultán solo utiliza para las visitas oficiales,situado en Muscat la capital del sultanato, no es un edificio magnifico pero si muy interesante
