A delicious meal
It was the last night of our trip to Edinburgh, and we thought it was time to try haggis, the Scottish national dish that we had heard so much about. It is the innards of a sheep minced and mixed with onions, spices and fat, and served with potatoes. After searching the pubs around the Royal Mile, we chose the Royal Mile Tavern because it was the cheapest. It is nice, quiet, and not too crowded, with a wide variety of whisky and beer. We ate a delicious meal of haggis with a whiskey-based cream, a dish of grilled salmon with potatoes, and two Tennants beers, spending £ 10 per person.
