South Bank is the London neighborhood that is located on the banks of the River Thames, in the southern part of the city. With the transformation of these neighbourhoods into more pedestrian friendly areas, the South Bank was transformed into a bustling place to go during the weekend, with all of the theaters, concert halls and exhibitions along with the outdoor fairs and street entertainers.
The Royal Festival Hall is a cultural center that offers a bit of everything. Admission is free and it's always crowded, especially in winter because the Londoners appreciate the large sofas and central heating.
They gather there as if it were a Starbucks- sharing coffee with alternative music playing in the background. The free concerts with the little-known music groups are on the ground floor. Below there are also exhibitions with photos, paintings, etc. Then there is a real concert hall auditorium, with a variety of music, from classical to rock.
