Rothko Chapel

The Rothko Chapel Museum is located in the city of Houston. Mark Rothko, one of the most influential American artists of the mid-twentieth century, was commissioned by the Menils to design a complete environment to house fourteen paintings, which were specifically created for this space. The original architect was Philip Johnson, and the work was later completed by Howard Barnstone and Eugene Aubry.
