Roman Baths at Bar Hill
Along the Antonine Wall in what was a fort or lookout, we find the ruins to a Roman bath, from which you can see the foundations and construction divisions and the sewer systems used in the construction of Roman forts (second century approx.). The thermal baths generally had an important place in the Roman customs, not only for hygiene, as well as cultural and injury recovery ... the equivalent of a day spa. In other countries such as Italy and Spain, constructions are more frequent and therefore less appreciated in these parts, where the weather had a big influence. The situation of these baths has been a crucial element that archaeologists could determine the position of the fort on the hill of Bar and then determine more precisely the corresponding mapping following the wall.
