An important river
Regreg Bou River is the river that separates the two cities of Rabat and Salé. Rabat has been the capital of the country since the days of the French protectorate, although historically Sale had more importance. The river can be crossed at the mausoleum of Hassan II, and it takes no more than 20 minutes to walk across. It runs for 240 km from the Atlas Mountains, making it one of the country's most important rivers.
