A lovely place
The River Esk is one of the largest in Scotland, and perhaps one of the most colorful, too. It had an important historical role, a frontier that enemies approaching Edinburgh would have to cross, so there are many castles, for example Rosslyn and Melville, built along its banks. The river is formed by the union of two smaller rivers, North Esk and South Esk, and passes through several beautiful areas, such as Rosslyn Glen. At Rosslyn Castle, upon leaving you will see a wooden bridge surrounded by trees that allows the passage and good views over the river. There is a path connecting Rosslyn to the village.
