Rignault Museum

Un véritable "cabinet de curiosités". Rignault était un amateur d'art éclairé, d'abord peintre montmartrois à la fin du 19ème, il s'est rapidement rendu compte que certains artistes étaient bien meilleurs que lui alors il a préféré se lancer dans la collection d'œuvres hétéroclites de toutes les époques. Dans les années 20, il s'installe à Saint Cirq et convie ses amis dont le surréaliste André Breton qui achètera la maison d'à côté et dira cette phrase qui est devenu le slogan du village "en arrivant à Saint Cirq Lapopie, j'ai cessé de me désirer ailleurs". Dans ce musée on trouve des œuvres comme du mobilier, des toiles, des installations et des étranges objets sous cloches de verre...Il y a un petit jardin et une terrasse avec une vue imprenable sur le Lot. Antigua casa almenada del siglo XV ubicada sobre el acantilado, y magníficamente restaurada por Joseph Rignault, que hace las veces de museo en temporada alta, de abril a octubre. Realizan exposiciones temporales y hay una permanente, este artista hizo de este pueblo ser un reclamo para muchos otros artistas.
