India, China, Japan and Africa
The Rietberg Museum of Zurich was founded in 1952 and is dedicated to arts outside Europe (it has about 6,800 objects representing cultures of India, China, Japan and Africa). It's housed in a nineteenth century building and recently, thanks to an architectural contribution, was enlarged so that it doubled its exhibition space. To respect the dynamics of spaces, the architects Krischanitz and Grazioli proposed building underground. Formed through acquisition, collecting and donations, the museum has a large number of objects of great qualitative value.
