Luxury tea room
A tea room just in front of the famous Harrods store. Knightsbridge is touristy and so expensive that few people can afford to live here. But Richoux seems to be a place where Londoners try a bit of luxury at a lower cost. The street in front is quite busy, but inside was fairly quiet. I liked the service, it was three or four in the afternoon and I just wanted to take a tea, not eat, and I could see the disappointment on the face of the waiter who was not going to get a good tip. The cakes looked good. They had an offer for 'tea', which for the English includes some small stuffed breads and buns.
Sometimes it does not even come with tea, but a glass of champagne instead. Tea is the word for snack. The prices are high but not abusive for one of the most exclusive areas of London.
