Riad Jnane Mogador Hotel
If you are going to spend a few days in Marrakech I recommend you try this quiet, centrally located and charming hotel located in heart of the Medina, right next to the Jemma-el-Fna Plaza, the center of the social life of the city, souks and of most of the sights. This is a riad (a traditional Moroccan house arranged around a courtyard with fountain and décor) in the Riad Zitoun the Kedim, one of the winding streets leaving the square and extending towards the Mellah, where the old Jewish neighborhood is located. It has twenty rooms, a small hammam (where you can receive massages for 15-25 euros) and a restaurant on the top floor, from whose terrace you will have a wonderful view of the minarets in the city.
Here you can enjoy traditional Moroccan food or breakfast for about 4 euros. In low season (from January 8 to February 19, from 1 June to 31 August and from December 1 to 22) rooms cost around 29 euros for a single, 38 euros for a double, 46 euros for a triple, 52 euros for a quadruple, and 70 euros for a suite. In high season prices rise an average of 10 euros per night. The atmosphere is very good, frequented by European travelers, especially French and Germans. The staff speaks both English and French. You can book through their website, a deposit equivalent to the price of a night may be asked for and it is reliable. Especially during high season it is very advisable to do so. They also have free internet for guests.
