Stables and Riding School
Near the castle, along the whole bastion, is the revellín of Our Lady of the Brotas which dates back to the 17th century. Throughout its history it has been used for many different reasons: originally it was an artillery train, where there were many forges for the manufacture and repair of war equipment. In the 18th century it also served as headquarters of the artillery detachment, and later as a bread factory. In the 19th century it fell into ruins, and has now been rebuilt and adapted as horse stables and a riding school. It has complete stables, barns and all the facilities for equestrian practice, both indoors and out.
