La Bella Napoli

La Bella Napoli is a pizzeria-trattoria located in Barcelona's Poble Sec neighborhood. It stands out from the multitude of Italian restaurants in Barcelona for its authentic cuisine, the genuine Italian personnel (they speak Spanish but only a little) and the prices, very reasonable price compared to other places of the same.

The cuisine is 100% Napolitana and there are various typical dishes from there on the menu. Everything is made on the spot, including pasta. Pizza is not the most original but they are made in wood-fired oven and the dough is thin and crusty. Delicious.

I have to say that, despite everything, this restaurant is not what it used to be.

La Bella Napoli was one of the first restaurants I found in Barcelona. My roommate's friend used to go there when he lived for many years in Barcelona in the 90s. When he left Barcelona he would still meet his friends there and have dinner with them when he was visiting for a few days. Since I joined the group that one time, I got into it.

Before, you would just have to wait on the sidewalk before you could get a seat, now it is very difficult to get a table if you haven't made reservations, since it is always packed, both for lunch and dinner.

The decoration is nice, I like the trompe l'oeil of landscapes and harlequins, with brick walls and black and white pictures; there is a really nice Italian atmosphere.

I recommend this Italian restaurant where I went to have dinner yesterday, very famous in Barcelona. When you read the menu you don't know what to choose, there are may different pasta, pizza, antipasti, meat dishes and more. Desserts, delightful, if you have the opportunity order tiramisu, I HIGHLY recommend it!

It is not cheap, not very expensive either but it is worth it. Yesterday, we paid 53€ for two.
