Casa Granada Restaurant

The other day some friends took me to this hidden and picturesque spot in the center of Madrid. Someone either takes you or it is impossible to imagine that next to the Ideal cinema, in a rickety building, you can find such a place.

You first think it is a joke, since the lift looks old, but once on the sixth floor the restaurant is very traditional and the terrace is amazing although a little small.

As to food, "pimientos del padrón" (stuffed peppers), a plate of chorizo, morcilla (blood sausage) and other fried things not really necessary and a quite good marinade if I remember correctly.

It is one of those "hidden" places everyone seems to know, since it is very difficult to get a table on the terrace and the hustle and bustle is constant. The views, especially at dusk, are spectacular and this is what makes this place special, since the service, despite being nice, is quite poor (we had to ask for our order three times) and the food is correct and at a good price without being exceptional. The "pimientos de padrón" (stuffed peppers) are spicy and the potatoes with dressings are good.
