Très beau restaurant à l'étage avec vue sur Regent Street. Entrée par une petite porte, puis un ascenseur pour découvrir la belle pièce du restaurant très agréable. Personnel qualifié et très attentionné, nourriture de très très bonne qualité, probablement un des meilleurs restaurants indien de la capitale, sinon le meilleur ... Le poulet était très fin, fondant, pas de graisse et comble du raffinement, les plats sont maintenus au chaud sur un petit chauffe plat avec une bougie. Attention, il faut vraiment réservé, surtout en fin de semaine, nous avons eu de la chance de pouvoir y diner sans réserver mais le créneau était vraiment serré.

Very nice restaurant upstairs overlooking Regent Street. Entry through a small door and a lift to discover the beautiful piece of very nice restaurant. Qualified and attentive staff, food very very good, probably one of the best Indian restaurants in the capital, if not the best ... The chicken was fine, melting, no fat and height of refinement, the food is kept warm on a hot plate with a small candle. Attention must really booked, especially on weekends, we had the chance to eat there without booking but the niche was really tight.

J'ai découvert ce restaurant fabuleux en Avril 1971!!!! J'étais alors jeune et beau (expression consacrée), mon amie plus que moi ! J'y suis retourné souvent lors de mes séjours londoniens. La perfection dans l'élaboration des plats, du service, de la décoration......Et, ce parfum indescriptible qui remonte jusqu'aux années 1920....Réputation excellente non usurpée !! J'espère y retourner bientôt !!

I discovered this fabulous restaurant in April 1971!! I was so young and beautiful (expression goes), my friend more than me! I returned often when I visit London. Perfection in the development of food, service, decor ...... And that indescribable scent that goes back to 1920 .... excellent reputation well-deserved! I hope to return soon!

Le restaurant Veeraswamy est l’un des meilleurs restaurants indiens de Londres, et le plus antique de toute l’Angleterre (1926), situé dans Regent St, tout près de Piccadilly Circus, en plein centre-ville. Il est dirigé par les mêmes personnes qui gèrent "Masala Zone", très populaire (plus économique mais authentique). Les plats principaux peuvent aller de 10 à 22 livres. Si vous ne savez pas quoi choisir, vous pouvez vous fier à leurs menus, (c’est toujours un succès bien que peut-être un peu trop bondant), ou vous laisser conseiller par le personnel aimable. Le service est excellent.

Veeraswamy The restaurant is one of the best Indian restaurants in London, and the most ancient of all England (1926), located in Regent St, close to Piccadilly Circus in the heart of downtown. It is run by the same people who run "Masala Zone", very popular (more economical but authentic). Main courses can range from 10 to 22 pounds. If you do not know what to choose, you can count on their menus (it's always a success although perhaps a little too bondant) or leave some advice from the friendly staff. The service is excellent.
