Peculiar and Delicious

Excellent

In the summer of 2009 we went to Kenya and decided to go by train (a complete adventure) to Mombasa on the Kenyan coast. The company that ran the safari had recommended a rather peculiar restaurant, in a typical local boat, called Dhow which offered daily lunch and dinner, but we went for dinner (I think lunchtime is cheaper ), but it was worth it, the seafood was delicious and crew were all wonderful. There was also live music.

Nous avons dîné au Tamarind Dhow (Dhow = boutre). Le restaurant est sympa et la vue depuis sa terrasse est très jolie. Le concept est simple : le boutre est relié au restaurant. Au crépuscule, tout le monde descend sur le quai, prêt à embarquer pour dîner sur le bateau. Tout cela au son de groupes de musiciens kényans.

We dined at the Tamarind Dhow (= dhow dhow). The restaurant is nice and the view from the terrace is beautiful. The concept is simple: the dhow is connected to the restaurant. At dusk, everyone descends on the platform, ready to embark on the boat for dinner. All in his group Kenyan musicians.
