The Residenz was the "modest" residence of the bishops until the nineteenth century. Outside, it seems like a palace-fortress, but inside it's full of unashamedly opulent rooms decorated with tapestries and frescoes by Rottmayr. Inside, you'll find the room where Mozart first performed in public at the age of 6.
