Residency Hotel Fort

A good hotel, very popular with tourists (better to book a long time in advance). It has an excellent location: you can walk to the main attractions in South Mumbai, like the famous Victoria Station, the Gateway of India and the Taj Hotel, where presidents are housed. There's no restaurant here, except the pleasant breakfast buffet. The staff are very professional. There are some decent restaurants nearby, as well as a Cook travel agency. If you take a taxi, ask them to use a meter instead of the flat rate: they tend to try to offer western prices to foreign visitors.
