Resort Reserva del Saja & Spa

Rural retreat in the heart of Cantabria. It’s a beautiful country hotel in the center of Cantabria, an area that is not as touristy as the coastal towns, but that has much to offer.

The hotel has everything you would expect from a rural retreat: comfort, charm and personal service, plus some first-class facilities (spa, top-tier restaurant, nursery for the kids, etc.).

It's a really interesting option for anyone looking to escape the big city and is well connected to the Cantabrian coast and the center of the country.

The place is simply spectacular, both in terms of the environment and the hotel itself. Located in the small town of Renedo, it’s modern inside but the wooden exterior does not at all clash with the traditional architecture of the area.

It’s worth relaxing in their spa, especially during the Saturday night sessions. The weather did not abide so part of my plans to visit the magnificent landmarks of Cantabria were spoiled, but it allowed me to enjoy the spa a little more.

The caves of El Soplao are less than 30 miles away; San Vicente de la Barquera, Comillas, and Santillana del Mar are just a little further.
