Red Rock Canyon

A short 16km drive from the town of Waterton, Red Rock Canyon is a stunning spectacle of bedrock layers brilliantly colored by the minerals found in this stunning canyon. Water rushes through the canyon, providing lush, green surroundings and many opportunities for hiking, whether you just want a short, self-guided interpretive nature walk or a full day hike up to one of the surrounding lakes. During the summer months, many visitors will be present in the canyon by the main parking lot, but venturing off even 500 meters from the parking lot will provide a much more authentic, solitary experience.
