Rathaus

Construído em estilo renascentista, o prédio da Prefeitura está localizado no coração da cidade, na praça do Mercado. O prédio foi construído por Leonhard Weidmann, entre os anos de 1572 a 1578, com sua imponente fachada, o prédio é considerado o edifício mais imponente ao norte dos Alpes desta época. A partir de 1250 existia no lugar uma construção gótica, que pode ser vista em um dos painéis do pintor Friedrich Herlin no altar principal da igreja de São Jacó. Em 1501 a parte oriental do prédio ruiu em um incêndio, o lado ocidental foi mantido até hoje com a estreita torre do relógio. Quando visitei a cidade o prédio passava por reformas. Entretanto, ainda era possível subir no alto da torre, de onde se tem uma vista incrível da cidade.
