Restaurant Ramsess

Ramsess is one of the nicest restaurants in Essaouira, in terms of traditional Moroccan cuisine. But it is also one of the most recommended places by the tourist magazines and guides, so you will find only foreigners and that makes it lose its authenticity. The restaurant is in the historic center of Essaouira, has a traditional Moroccan décor where you eat with your group sitting pretty low around a round table and floor. The place is run by a family and the mother cooks, while daughters serve customers. It is quite small but there is plenty to choose from on the menu, particularly the fish dishes that you will never find in Marrakech and in the interior part of the country.
