Quirinale Square
The building of this large plaza lasted for centuries. In the sixteenth century, statues of the Dioscuri were placed here and their horses from the Baths of Constantine in the fourth century. The fountain was placed here in the nineteenth century. It is a good example of the character of the Romans, always reusing and modifying old materials.
