Hundreds of birds of many breeds

Following the north exit of the city and only 5 or 6km. You can see sunsets real parades combined with animals. First there were monkeys and foxes, which quickly went past us right in front: After hundreds of birds of many breeds, and lastly a family of 4 of these animals but I never found out what they were named. While mom and the kids passed by, the father stood staring for a long time ... We did not move a finger. This issue was that it like a huge horse and we were scared for a while.

The Pushkar Camel Fair

Once in a year, the camels are brought here for sale.

Ville sacrée

Excellent
Amazing sacred place of Hindu religion, Pushkar is an amazing city, not to be missed during a trip to the heart of Rajasthan. Fourteenth century, it is known for hosting every year one of the major Indian festivals: the camel fair! At that time, tens of thousands of camels and sellers / buyers invest the city and its surroundings ... the scenery must be guaranteed! The rest of the year, the city is not less interesting, since it allows to delve into Hindu culture, discovering including 52 ghats (banks) of the city, where women engage in laundry and men in their ablutions ... Those who wish may make it even a small puja, guided ceremony in which we make an offering to the Pushkar Lake (the heart of the city and its activity), throwing flowers, a coconut rice grains and colored powders ... Finally, numerous small shops and a local market can immerse themselves in Indian daily life, among the cows and sometimes floods caused by monsoon ...

Pushkar is a sacred small town at the foot Rajastn desert. Stands out as a holy city in India, which each year thousands of pilgrims come close. Noted for its lake surrounded by ghats and temples, the vast majority of white and blue. It is one of the few cities where you worship Brhama .. Could explain several theories of its origins, its innumerable temples but what can not be explained in words is the feeling of peace and love which is transmite..Realmente one balm in halfway between the cities of Rajastn, (a place where one is allowed to wander or walk, bike or motorcycle) Watch the sunrise in all its ghats and his faithful santificndose with water and music that comes from their temples It is an unforgettable experience. Despite having been also in Benars, I stay with Pushkar ..

Wandering around the town

India is the country's second most populous sper but nevertheless it is also possible to know as Pushkar municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants where the stress and crowds barely exist. Walking and getting lost in the pretty village of Pushkar is one of the best ways to experience this place. Beyond the main streets of access to the population, in other cars and richshaws circulating very few making it easier to ride more quiet this place is only normal to find loose farm animals.

Spirituality, tranquility and beauty

Espiritualidad, tranquilidad y belleza

Excellent
Pushkar was our first stop in India after spending long stressful Delhi. From Delhi we took a sleeper train to Ajmer and Ajmer and regional bus dropped us off at the bus station from Pushkar flirtatious. The highlight of Pushkar is tranquility and spirituality that transmits, its main attraction is the lake and the surrounding ghats where the faithful come to purify but any of its small, winding streets, temples and bazaar are a good place to get lost and enjoy the city. For sightseeing find many Spanish and Europeans in general though not an especially exploited by tourism. Also noteworthy is the hippie atmosphere that permeates the bazaar.

Beau Site

Beau site

Excellent
Surely Pushkar, built around its holy lake is a beautiful place in India. It worships Brahma, the creator. I do not know Benares but I found some friendly people in Pushkar, unlike the rest of India: the roads leading to the ghats are very narrow and it is better not to take those chosen by the Hindus. That said, the light is magical with the flights of pigeons.

Pushkar

Pushkar

Fifth step of our tour of Rajasthan, Pushkar is certainly one of the most peaceful cities in the region. Revolves around a sacred lake, it runs quiet days, dominated by two small hills where plants are two temples that one can reach in one hour walk each.

Pushkar Lake
