Puerto histórico de Whitehaven

The port of Whitehaven means everything to this town, from its foundation to its maximum splendor in the Georgian era. This port was the third largest in the country, beating much more populated cities like Edinburgh and Newcastle. It is the most colorful and cared for and throughout the city there is a curious mix of modern and old. In full operation, it is full of all types of vessels, mostly of recreational fishing. At first the current port was divided into two parts, keeping its original structure, the west, in theory is for fishing vessels and the east for recreation. But now they are all mixed.
