Gran Hotel Balneario De Puente Viesgo

Whether you're single or a couple, Hotel Spa Balneario Puente Viesgo is a great place to relax. They have everything you could want from a spa: sauna, jacuzzi, thermal baths, contrast showers, and something that I really love: a flotation pool.

You can book the spa for you alone or for you and your partner for 45 minutes and relax suspended in the water without anyone bothering you. After a little shower, you can go down to the restaurant and have a luxurious meal with great wine. And all this comes wrapped in a sleek, clean design with wood finishes.

If there’s one thing famous in Puente Viesgo (other than by the prehistoric caves of Monte Castillo) it's the spa. Its medicinal waters from a natural spring were already in use in the 18th century for therapeutic purposes and a bathhouse was built in 1862. The waters are particularly suitable for hypertension, arthritis, and diseases of the heart and nervous system. The spa industry boomed after a railroad line was built and a large number of visitors came to the town to sample the thermal baths.

Currently, it's part of the Gran Hotel Puente Viesgo, a 4-star 142-room complex that's divided into three buildings: the actual hotel, the spa, and a third building with conference and event rooms and a café surrounded by gardens.

I’d never been to a spa so cool. I would go back every day. The worst part is it’s a drag if you go to Santander and then to Puente Viesgo.

An experience of a lifetime, I recommend it.

I recently visited the Puente Viesgo spa with my partner and I can only say that I will return.

The hotel facilities are fabulous, the treatment from the staff excellent and, of course, the spa. I recommend you all to try the flotation pool and the beauty treatment and, of course, the circuito del templo del agua (water temple circuit).

I love the baths, spas and everything related to relaxation. The truth is that they pleasantly surprised me, not only for their waters, if not their facilities.
