city of Prilep
Prilep is a small city in the Pelagonia region, south of Macedonia, with a population of around 80,000 inhabitants. In the city center you can find the big clock tower, built in 1858 with two fountains at its base, a modern one and an ancient one which use was to wash people´s feet before entering the mosque of the city, now in ruins you can still find it next to the tower. The minaret of the mosque is very dammaged but is still standing. We can also find a statue of Alexander III in the city. The town is small but very surprising. What I enjoyed the most about my visit was that the fruit and vegetables market we found among many other things. It's a very nice place. And if the weather is nice, you can have a drink in one of its enchanting terraces.
