Prieure church

Located on the site of the former Bolton Abbey, Priory Church is the only part of the abbey that has stood the test of time and is still used today. In fact, the church was never completed, and the west tower, where the entrance gate stands today, had no roof for several decades! Don't miss the beautiful stained glass windows, retracing the life of St Cuthbert, inside. There is also a model that gives an idea of what the church would have looked like if it had ever been finished.
