Praetorium of Pilate

The Praetorium of Pilate and the great views it offers are the highpoint of the National Archaeological Museum. After visiting the museum, head up a few flights of stairs and voilà: Tarragona is at your feet.

Seeing the city from above is always special and I loved this place: the Roman amphitheater is right in front of you and the Mediterranean beaches are in the background. You can also see the ancient quarter of the city with the Cathedral presiding over a sea of buildings and roofs.

Access costs 2.40 euros for the tower and museum. It’s worth it.
