All a ritual
To watch how Oued Laou fishermen ready their fishing gear to go out to capture sardine is a spectacle. They are not rushed as they have all night to do their job. First come the boats with lights, several of them are placed at one end of the beach, in the sea, and others on the other side. Slowly they approach each other and then leave the boats containing the nets to continue the task. Once they have released the nets they close in and finally collect the catch. All a ritual that is as old as it is interesting.
