Prejmer Fortress

A strong defense system at the entrance of the fortress of Prejmer was installed, as well as all over the southern part of the construction. In the centre, a curved corridor 32 meters long allowed the inhabitants to enter the fortress. In the centre there was a removable grille that could be closed at any time to keep out the invading enemy. Previously, the entrance was secured by a number of bars, but only one remains. The guard towers of the fortress have gaps to aim and kill the enemy, but also others facing downwards which were used to through boiling oil over anyone trying to invade the building.
