Uma praça histórica
Considerada um dos pontos de convergência da cidade, a Praça do Chafariz, marca a entrada do centro histórico da cidade (de quem vem por terra). O lugar recebeu este nome devido o chafariz histórico, por muito tempo, também fonte de água potável e local de se lavra muitas coisas, o que se reflete nos antigos topônimos do local (Praça do Rocio, Campo da Lavagem, Largo da Chácara, Largo do Pedreira). Assim como a Praça da Bandeira recebe tradicionalmente os eventos ligados ao mar e tradicionais devido seu apelo e localização, a Praça do Chafariz também sedia eventos de todas as naturezas nesta cidade que ama os festivais (em Paraty, somente o mês de maio não conhece um evento oficial) e todo mês realiza uma festividade. O lugar além de local de descanso, está cercado de pousadas, cafés e restaurantes (tendo alguns dos mais tradicionais destes localizados aqui) que deixam a praça apinhada de pessoas nas noites paratianas. Oferecendo história e entretenimento, a Praça do Chafariz, além de icônica, é um belo lugar para se conhecer quando você passar por Paraty.
Considered one of the points of convergence of the city, the Praça do Chafariz, marks the entrance to the historic city center (for those who come by land). The place is named after the historic fountain, long, also a source of drinking water and site of mining many things, which is reflected in the old site topnimos (Rocio Praa, Wash Field, Largo da Chcara, Largo Quarry). As well as the flag of Praa traditionally gets connected to the sea and traditional events because of their appeal and location, the Praça do Chafariz also hosts events of all kinds in this city that loves festivals (in Paraty, only the month of May in the know a official event) and all ms held a festival. The place besides resting place, surrounded est hotels, cafes and restaurants (and some of the most traditional of these located here) that leave the square crowded with people in paratianas nights.
