Annual jazz festival

This square is in the historical center, next to Plaza de la República, and is famous because it hosts an annual jazz festival that lasts a week (last week of July). The tourist office is here, on the corner of Rua do Hospital Velho. I noticed an old granite fountain attached like a mural on the side wall of Hospital Velho, it features a statue carved in stone in a niche in the area above and under the pipe where the water exits.
