A Combination of Tradition and Modernity
Posada del Dragón is a charming boutique hotel, product of the rehabilitation of the former Posada. The name makes reference to one of the coats of arms formerly used in the city of Madrid: the dragon. I loved staying here, not only because of its excellent location, in Cava Baja, but also because of the combination of tradition and modernity.
In fact, this small hotel maintains the ancient yard of the building, an architectural element typical from Madrid. At the same time, its interior decoration is a modern day homage to the city of Madrid, to the city that received Arabs and Castilians between the 9th and 12th centuries, to the palatial times in the 16th Century and to Madrid’s avant-garde in the fifties. All of this alongside the most advanced technologies, such as the free Wi-Fi in all the hotel premises.
