Mayan Culture

This sculpture is located in Founders Park , and was designed by Arturo Tavarez. It depicts two intertwined figures that pay homage to Mayan culture. In it, you can even see a depiction of a ball game that was done very recently. The statue opened on December 21, 2012. Now it's the center of all municipal activities held in Playa del Carmen.

Tiene una vista del mar espectacular se los recomiendo. Ahí se encuentra una capilla muy famosa por sus bodas de playa, los voladores de Papantla un ritual ancestral originario de Papantla Veracruz y la terminal de ferry para salir a Cozumel y por supuesto la tan famosa quinta avenida con una mezcla de bohemia modernista con lo más selecto que Playa del Carmen puede ofrecer. Si visitas Playa del Carmen no te lo pierdas!

The Mayan site is one of the most iconic sites in Playa del Carmen and has a spectacular view of the sea they recommend. There is a very famous chapel for weddings beach, flying Papantla an original ancestral ritual of Papantla Veracruz and the ferry terminal to go to Cozumel and of course the very famous Fifth Avenue with a mix of modernist bohemian with most select that Playa del Carmen has to offer! If you visit Playa del Carmen not miss it!
