The port of San Sebastian de la Gomera is a rather small port, and if you decide to visit the other islands or just go for a day trip to La Gomera, you will probably leave the port of Los Cristianos in the south of Tenerife in order to get there. There is a part that acts as a fishing port, it is located in the oldest part of the harbor and it is beautiful as the wooden boats are painted in bright colors that people use to go fishing. There is also a good sport port with sailboats belonging to the people of San Sebastian, here there is a yacht club and facilities including showers and a small supermarket so that you do not have to go to the city center every time you need something.

Finally there is the industrial port, which is a strong word, but it's where all of the goods arriving from Tenerife come to, such as food, gasoline etc... it is said that Gomera suffers from double insularity, Gomera and residents have cheaper tickets for Tenerife to the other Canary Islands, it is where most administrative tasks are performed. The industrial port and ferry boats hosts Fred Olsen and Naviera Armas.
