Pools of Santa Catalina

The Santa Catalina pools are near San Antonio Aguas Calientes. They are about 10km from Antigua Guatemala. The best thing to do is to go by bike or tuc tuc to make the most of the landscape at your leisure. You will pass through coffee fields and beautiful farms with perfectly restored colonial houses with courtyards with fountains. The only thing is that heading to San Antonio, is quite low and it can be difficult to get back up on bike. Once in San Antonio, you'll go through the craft market which is well known and traditional where the art of weaving will be explained. What someone wears determines their social status in the community.
