Poland by Train

Although some Polish don't agree, I think that the Polish trains are lovely. I find them charming precisely because they aren't modern and air-conditioned. If it's hot, you have to open the windows and increasing the noise. When it's that noisy, it seems more real, like I'm actually travelling by train. The wheels against the tracks, the whistle, these things make sounds and everything moves to accompany pleasantly drifting thoughts. In addition, they are reliable, and connect most of Poland.
