Poás Volcano

I loved the care taken of the place, the cool weather, hummingbirds and peace! A wonderful, magical place where you can connect with life! It is easily accessible and minutes from the capital San Jose, on the banks of the street toward the volcano where you can buy many types of fruits, souvenirs and local things.

Beautiful tree standing high above all the rest. The volcano was blocked by a wall of fog which created a perfect backdrop to make the tree stand out.

Try to go early morning since this increases the chances to see the crater (usually is covered by the fog).

A recent eruption had closed the area to people, but I can't wait for this to open back up again.
