Plaza Suecia

La Plaza Suecia, es esa que contiene en el espacio denominado “Huerta Comunitaria” con “El Jardín en casa”, la magnífica escultura de la Diosa Romana de la Agricultura “Ceres” y que está toda ella total y absolutamente rodeada de jacarandaes. Allí mismo en una esquinita de Bv. Oroño y Av. Presidente Illia se colocó en el año 2013, en conmemoración del “Día del Árbol”, un recordatorio de la primera plantación de jacarandaes que se llevara a cabo dentro del programa “Y volverán a ser árboles” y que fuera llevada a cabo por cuatro poetas rosarinas. La plaza que debe su nombre a los suecos que fueron los primeros en instituir ese día, se3 la conoce por una leyenda que cuenta el infortunado y trágico fin de un indio y su joven amada hija de un caballero español que los mató a los dos, arrepentido regreso al lugar al día siguiente y en el lugar de la tragedia “se erguía un hermoso árbol de tronco fuerte, cubierto de flores azul oscuro que se mecían suavemente con la brisa.
