Playa Victoria

Para mí es una de las mejores playas de Cádiz capital. Muy muy limpia, con todo tipo de servicios y, sobre todo muy cuidada. La playa Victoria se extiende prácticamente por unos tres kilómetros, más o menos desde el fin de La Cortadura hasta Santa María del Mar. Esta limpieza, calidad y demás le han valido desde hace muchos años la bandera azul, varios certificados de calidad y la consideración de mejor playa urbana de Europa. Ahí es nada. Y es que La Victoria es una playa con mayúsculas. Muy preparada para la avalancha de turistas que llegan en verano, con puesto de información, megafonía que funciona y se oye donde te dicen qué hora es, los niños perdidos… Hay, además. Para los pequeñitos, pulseras identificativos gratis por si se pierden. Es muy normal que el Ayuntamiento organice numerosas actividades en su arena inacabable, como gimnasia o juegos por la mañana o cine al aire libre por la noche. Pero, además, cuenta con unos chiringuitos muy bien integrados y preparados, donde comer o tomar el aperitivo tranquilamente y, por la noche una copita. Tienen sus hamacas y sombrillas para todos aquellos a los que les da alergia la arena y numerosos aseos bastante limpios por toda la playa. Junto a esto, en la arena, que en algunas partes tiene más de 120 metros, se agolpan redes de volleyball u otras instalaciones para que los usuarios practiquen deporte. También está adaptada para minusválidos con todo tipo de facilidades para que disfruten del mar. Cuenta con socorristas, duchas de cuerpo entero y de pies, fuentes y, como no, los típicos y únicos vendedores ambulantes que venden desde coca cola y cerveza a camarones. Justo es en esta playa donde todos los meses de agosto se celebra la tradicional barbacoa del Trofeo Carranza, por lo que durante una noche la arena se llena de miles y miles de personas que, barbacoa en mano, ocupan parcelitas para estar toda la noche comiendo y bebiendo sin parar. Literalmente, no queda un hueco de arena libre y puede haber decenas de miles de personas. (Alguna foto y vídeo hay). Son varios los autobuses que llevan hasta esta playa desde el centro de Cádiz, como el 1 o el 2, porque lo de aparcar por esta zona no es lo más fácil que existe, aunque hay un par de parkings al lado. Lo bueno es que al estar en el propio paseo marítimo de Cádiz hay gran cantidad de bares y restaurantes donde uno puede comer tranquilamente. Justo al fondo se ve una de las estampas más vistas de Cádiz, la catedral sobre los edificios de la ciudad antigua, y desde esta playa se pueden disfrutar de unas puestas de sol increíbles. Pero cuando se pone el sol la playa no descansa tampoco, porque son muchos los chiringuitos que abren hasta la una o las dos para tomar copas y justo en el paseo marítimo hay un mercadillo hasta esa mismas horas. La verdad, una playa de ciudad muy muy completita donde pasar un día, o varios, perfectos. Eso sí, si se levanta el día con viento, da igual que la playa sea buena…

Tiene establecidas zonas para jugar al rugby, volleyball y fútbol, y también cuenta con columpios y castillos inflables para los más pequeños. Si además te gusta la fiesta nocturna no te vayas muy lejos porque esta es la zona de marcha en verano. Muy ambientada con terrazas y discotecas, La Victoria es la favorita de los turistas.

Éso si: deseamos que el viento, de levante o de poniente, respete al viajero que pone por vez primera sus pies descalzos sobre las finas arenas blancas de la Victoria de Cádiz

Algas y piedras A pesar de que esta playa es una de mis favoritas, tengo que decir que estos días (julio 2013), tiene la orilla inundada de algas y con más piedras de lo habitual, por lo que el baño se hace muy desagradable y jugar con los pequeños casi imposible. El resto de servicios que la playa ofrece impecables como siempre.
