Questa località è conosciuta per avere una delle spiagge più belle di tutta la penisola di Samaná; siamo esattamente a qualche chilometro a est di Las Terrenas, dove vi sorge l'unico resort all inclusive (della catena Bahía Principe che ha sull'isola alcuni villaggi); è presente anche un piccolo aeroporto, ma credo sia solo per rari voli interni.
La spiaggia è libera, ovviamente, e caratterizzata da una foresta di mangrovie e da un mare tranquillissimo e trasparente, dove spesso le tartarughe vengono a riprodursi, e dove si possono osservare pesci e uccelli endemici.
Se vi capita di viaggiare fuori stagione (e cioè qui si intende in periodi non ricompresi tra novembre e marzo, mesi migliori in cui clima è più secco) vi consiglio di portare con voi un repellente antizanzare, perché c'è il forte rischio di essere punzecchiati da miriadi di microzanzare apparentemente invisibili, ma molto fastidiose a posteriori.
This resort known for having one of the most beautiful beaches of the peninsula of Saman; we are just a few kilometers east of Las Terrenas, where there is the only all-inclusive resort (chain Baha Prince that some villages on the island); also a small airport, but I think it is only for rare domestic flights. The beach, of course, and characterized by a mangrove forest and a sea very quiet and transparent, often where the turtles come to breed, and where you can see fish and endemic birds. If you happen to travel off-season (and what is meant here is not included in periods between November and March, the best months in which more dry climate) I recommend you bring mosquito repellant, because there 'is a strong risk of being be pierced by microzanzare myriad of seemingly invisible, but very annoying to rear.
