Poitou-Charentes
A beautiful site to see

The old sandbanks cover vessels that were stranded on the shore, and are now part of this heavenly wild landscape. Its unique white and red lighthouse cuts across the horizon. From there, you can enjoy a fantastic panorama of the whole area.
The effort to climb this lighthouse is worthwhile. And the best part is at sunset when the tide goes out: the dunes form some coves lapped by white foam.
