Piles River Park

The Piles is a 14km long river that leads to Gijon, at the end of Paseo del Muro de San Lorenzo (called "The Tostaderu"), in front of Molinon Stadium, Isabel the Catholic Park and the International Trade Fair . I remember when I was little that this area was very dirty and smelled terrible, but it's been recovered from that state into a riverside walk along the entire shore. It hasn't been finished yet, and there are many stages left to finish. It is intended that it will connect the Riverwalk Greenway Roces-La Camocha and Viesques campus. It's a nice place to walk, with pedestrian and bike paths.
